Eco Paints – The natural choice for your living environment. " Eco Paint Systems is all about advising you of the best 'Environmentally Friendly Paint' for the job you are about to do. We don't actually sell paint - instead, we steer you in the direction suitable for your own Eco Painting Requirements. Basically though, we operate a paint application business, using 'Eco and Bio Approved Paints' sourced mainly from N.Z. and the Italian Master Paint Effects Company Oikos." This site was set up back in 2003. Since then well over two hundred questions have come in via e-mail, which over the years I have taken a few of the most relevant and controversial ones to publish on this site to help others make choices and decisions. If for any reason an answer may be negative to your opinion then I value your response if you care to take a minute for other's sake (purely for the "second opinion" so to speak for others to read), and it goes to help me with my learning - I do apprciate that. It is fair to say that I will not publish a lot of questions and answers, especially if it means a simple visit or phone call to your local paint supplier for the answer! But in the meantime, please, just keep sending in questions on anything to do with painting and I am quite happy to answer as soon as I can, remembering please that I do spend a few days each month out of town so there may be a few days delay in answering, but I will get back to you!! The word ‘Eco’ makes a direct reference to the character and quality of the paints we recommend here. The manufacturing of these paints and right throughout the production process, involves an 'Ecological/Environmentally Friendly Designed Technology' that gives the customer a paint finish to be lived with proudly, naturally. Interior or exterior, there is an eco approved paint finish for most surfaces with the same or better guarantee of finish that conventional paint companies offer. All types of finishes are included - from Germany there are fantastic biodegradable enamel finishes and from Italy there are special paint effects that leave one breathless and from New Zealand there are Eco Friendly paint manufacturers who have quality products, and with the 'Environmental Choice Tick' label to prove their "Eco" value.
If you are about to embark on a painting project then the expense of doing this has to be worth it in every detail; e.g., the main object of building or renovating a home means we can put the rooms where we want them and in the order that will fit comfortably into our lives while living there. A major detail in the finishing stages is choosing paint colours and if you are building/renovating the ‘Sustainable Way’, then it is only natural that since your every living day has a paint colour in it, it should be from an Eco Paint System that reflects a healthy living environment and ages well. We have completed numerous paint jobs over the years using Eco Friendly Paints, our paint suppliers have proven track records that bring us back to them time and time again. Clients aware of current environmental issues feel better with having an "Eco Approved Paint" on their properties, the finishes can be natural and appealing at the same time, in some cases people want to know "Whose paint is that?" as soon as they see it. Especially the imported finishes from Oikos as they're quite unlike anything else on the N.Z. market at the moment. Although in saying that, I must point out that sometimes the most simplist paint finish can scream "quality finish" like ArmourGuard from PaintPlus, at certain times during the day it has an almost patina look about it, quite natural looking but tough as old boots - and really good with touch-ups that hardly show up at all! Resene have some great paint effect finishes - one in particular - their Enamacryl Metallic, has an amazing metallic effect that under the purpose designed evening light created for atmosphere on the walls around an indoor/outdoor pool looks "alive" as the happy customer put it. |
